Hey Smidgers! The lovely Amy here. Tim has been working too much and with little internet service on the boat he is having trouble doing his updates for you. So he asked me to update you on the progress. We have cabinets!
I just love the way they contrast with the “Cay” blue we choose from Lowes. It is a Sherwin Williams color from the Coastal palate. I am in love. Jesse our contractor has been slow going because of weather and other jobs. With the recent flood that happened in our area a few months ago we feel the other folks are in a bit more of a need than we do.
Don’t you just love the Counter tops? Walnut Butcher block! These will play off nicely with the walnut stain we will be putting on the wall in the loft and the barn door we just stained for the door to the bathroom. Jesse was able to make it out of left over cypress wood from the sink in the bathroom and the shower. The back of the barn door and the bathroom fixtures we will allow to patina and then seal the when they get to a color that we love.
We have been working on the flooring and the bathroom has been ruffed out. We still need to do the stairs and paint. Tim wants to wait to finish painting once Jesse is done with the remaining stuff so there will just be one touch up. I am so looking forward to this. I am scared of going tiny and excited all at the same time.
Tim and I have different issues of going tiny. For him it is his kitchen gadgets and for me it is my crafting supplies. In the picture above you will see the space under the counter. This is where I will have some shelves for my craft storage items. We will also have a drop leaf counter top that will come out another 3ft for more crafting space and dinning. Talk about multi purpose.
Well that is it for this update. I do hope we will be able to get you some more soon.
Till next time,
