If you’re being good and eating your green beans, you may as well make a treat of them, right?! While we want to minimize sugar intake and fatty butter, once in a while it’s nice to have a treat like this! It’s not thaaaaaatt bad! And I always say, if a recipe calls for butter, always use REAL butter! It’s always going to be better for you than the imitation stuff that claims to be healthier. Nature is always healthier, hands down. These beans sautéed in butter and maple syrup are tender, sweet and delicious. Get yourself some raw fresh from the farm green beans like these, and clean them up to prep for the recipe.
After washing and snipping the ends, you are going to steam them until slightly softened. Melt some butter in a pan over medium hear and add the maple syrup with the beans to sauté for a few minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste, and serve!
