Start your day by revving your engine up with a bee pollen goji berry super smoothie first thing in the morning! OR, just a super smoothie of your choice. They say that breakfast IS the most important meal of the day, and personally I find this to be true. Breakfast provides fuel to run that rat race each day, stabilize blood sugars, fight cravings for junk food, wake up the body systems, balance hormones, and minimize brain fog. You’ll have more energy, less likely to be hungry-crabby, and over all just be more delightfully sweet for your co-workers to put up with!
And of course, we shall start with the money shot showing aaaalll of the ingredients … YES, you see greens in this picture! Now while some of you may be reading this gagging on your coffee right now trying to wrap your head around eating kale in the morning, listen up: It isn’t that bad! There’s enough fruit here to sweeten the drink and make it tolerable (for some, delicious to others) to get down.. AND, once you really start to clean your body from all the junk out there, you’ll crave less of it, and naturally want more good-for-your-body type stuff. Give it a try and you’ll see for yourself that it’s so very true!
For those of you who are new to the juice/smoothie world and may have never even seen a chia seed in your life, a quick run down of what you’re looking at: Red dehydrated goji berries in the center, above that and counter clockwise: black and white little chia seeds, raw green pumpkin seeds, granulated bee pollen, raw almonds, and brown flax seed (there is also a golden flax seed, but here we have brown). And of COURSE all these items are certified raw organic .. I wouldn’t dream of using anything else!
Let’s chat for a minute about bee pollen. This might be a concept so far out there for newbies, they are scratching their heads in pure confusion because they have never EVA heard of such a thing! WHO eats bee pollen???? And.. um.. like, why?! Bee pollen is a super duper super food with such amazing health benefits, I should take the time to write and article on it alone. But for the sake of time, here’s a quick gist of bee pollen benefits: Anti-oxidants, super immune support, anti-aging, allergies, digestion, enzymes, complete nutrients and vitamins (it’s considered a true “complete” food in Chinese medicine), anti-fungal/viral/bacterial, skin health (irritations, rashes, acne), fertility! stimulates sex hormones, egg/sperm production, and increases libido, reduces inflammation in the body, arthritis, detoxifier, adrenal/thyroid fatigue… etc. These are just a few off the top of my head in under five minutes. It is such a nutritionally rich, power packed, fully punched super duper super food… no wonder the Queen Bee lives so long!

Bee Pollen Goji Berry Super Smoothie
Notes
This makes a pretty big cup, so sometimes I have half of it for breakfast and drink the other half as my mid morning snack, or with lunch.
If you are new to bee pollen, start off with the recommended "dose" described on the bottle, or whatever your healthcare provider suggests. Start small and work you way up to larger amounts.
Ingredients
- All Organic raw ingredients:
- Spinach
- 1 Cucumber
- 4-6 Strawberries
- 1 Kiwi
- 2-4 Kale leaves
- Granulated Bee Pollen
- Dehydrated (or fresh) Goji berries
- Chia Seeds
- Raw Pumpkin Seeds
- Raw Almonds
- Brown Flax seeds
- Nutribullet (shown), or a blender of your choice.. Vitamix etc.
Instructions
- Always prep your produce by washing it well and peeling/slicing/cutting what you need to. Add about this much to your cup...
- Handful to handful & a 1/2 of spinach
- 3 kale leaves
- 1 whole cucumber
- 1 whole kiwi (peeled)
- 4-5 strawberries (or less if they are bigger)
- Next, I used the large soup spoon from silverware collection to measure out the rest. I added 1 well rounded spoon of each to the cup: goji, chia, pumpkin seeds, bee pollen, almonds, and flax.
- Add water - spring, filtered .. the best water you can find. I use Kangen water, either clean or alkaline here. Put in enough to blend and mix ingredients well.. less = thicker, more = runny.
- Pop the lid/blade on and give it a twist for a minute or two! and then DRINK! enjoy aaahhhhh:)
